SCHOOL SONG Long live our C. H. S., With her students so brave and true. May she ever stand for the right, And be ready and willing to do. In times of our game or in class, May her loyalty be the same; Upholding, protecting, defending, And guarding her honored name. Then here's to our H.S. of C. To her may we e'er be true. At home or when we're away, Let us pay her the tribute due. Her colors of red and white Fill our hearts with the loyal love, For they stand for the truth and right. As proudly they wave above. 5

We the Seniors of 1965 dedicate our annual to Mrs. Mable McClain for her 23 years of service as a teacher, librarian, co-worker, and friend of us all. We the annual staff would especially like to thank her for her devotion, help, and steady guidance she has given us this past year. Mrs. Mable McClain----daughter of Rudolf and Mary Klien was born in Emery, Montana. She came to the western part of Lewis County when she was very young and made her home there until 1939, when she moved to Canton. In March of 1920 she was united in marriage to Zeffa R. McClain. She attended grade school near Deer Ridge and two years of high school at Deer Ridge. She graduated from Canton High School and Culver Stockton College. She attended one semester of graduate school at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She began her teaching career in 1919 at Ewing, Missouri. She came to Canton to teach in 1942 and has continued here for 23 years. She is a member of the Christian Church, BPW, AAUW, Lewis County Historical Society, and sponsor of this year's Annual. A
