These things make him well-liked, but this dedication is made tor deeper reasons. Mr. Badoian, perhaps more than any other teacher, has conveyed to us a sincere love tor learning, by drawing us out by making us think, he gives us the gift ot knowledge. Yet in his search tor truth, he always remains so very human. Thus, with respect and grati- tude, we dedicate the 1965 Echo to Martin J. Badoian. For in this year's book we have attempted to balance tradition and new ideas. While the Echo's focus is, of course, on the class ot '65, this book is intended as a record of the events and activities of all students of Canton High. However, though this book cannot encompass everything that has happened, we present here some of our tavorite memories -we hope they will also be yours. DRAMA TICS Under the capable hands ot Miss Marie Fish and Mr. John Judge, the Dramatics Club has, for the past five years, been successfully staging musical comedies. ln the past three years, the members of the club have broadened their horizons and have produced the hit Broadway musicals Bye, Bye, Birdie, L'il Abner, and this year, Wildcat. However, the success of these plays in Canton has been achieved not by a well-known title, but by long hours of rehearsing lines, dances, and songs. f I ' 4 . 5 . 'ff ff' SC First row: D.
