After leaving the Grammar School and Boston Latin School, he entered Harvard College, graduating in 1882. Began teacliing in 1884 at Rockport, Mass. From 1885-90 at Powers Institute, Bernardston, Mass.; 1 890-92, Canton High School; since 1892 at John P. llopkinson ' s Private Classical School, Chestnut street, l oston, Mass. Resides in Canton.

MRS. ABBY JANE (ELLIS) SNOW 1869-1870 Abbv Jane (Ellis) Snow, daughter of William and Jane (Endicott) Ellis, was born in Canton, April i, 184L She received her earlier education in the public schools of Canton, and graduated from the Bridgewater Normal School in 1858. She taught school in Norton, Norwood and Canton. In 1865 she married George Henry Snow. In 1869 she accepted the position of assistant teacher in the High School, where she remained for two terms, afterwards teaching Intermediate School in District No. 7. Mrs. Snow died in Canton, Mass., November 9, i S82. At the time of her death she was libra- rian of the Canton Public Library. 17
