The experiences you have had in high school have, no doubt, yielded some knowledge and skills that will materially aid in acquiring vocational competence. But it is equally important that you carry away with you the attitudes, appreciations, and understandings, that are basic to those moral and spiritual values that will enable you to live a richer and nobler life founded on a code of ethics that will contribute to the improvement of society. 70 Ryze Quest-meaning to search, is an important and interesting word. The good people search out the truth-the ambitious seek to improve themselves materially-even the lazy hunt for com- fort. The whole mass of humanity surges in a never-ending quest for things better. As school people we are never entirely satished, for it is our concern to make education serve in an ever improving way. As it is determined what skills and attitudes are the most desirable for the individual and for the group, we must as skillfully as we know how develop those abilities and traits. Knowing too that characteristics developed in school invariably become assets for life, we far: only pursue our quest with due seriousness.
