Because of the crowded conditions of our school, the Board has had many problems to solve in order to give to us that which would make our school the best. However, we have had to suffer very little, due to their efficiency and fore- - sight. Not only do we appreciate the time and energy spent for us but in later years, when we look back over the four short, and withal, happy years spent in old C. H. YY Y 1970 IHE QANTONIAN 1990 The Faculty f gkgz gs z, UR last year in Canton High School brought with it - 2 2-x many changes in the faculty. A number of our last i 5 year's faculty friends were gone and we regretted ' the loss greatly. However, we soon learned that the ' ' others, who had come to fill their places, were as will- ing to give us their time, advice and help. VVhen we became acquainted with them, we felt that we were extremely fortunate in having such an efficient faculty. H , Owing to the increased enrollment there was also an increase in the number of instructors. The new tones were Mr. Ryan and Mr. Shirley, in the History departmentg Mr. Deffenbaugh, Science, Miss Miller, Domestic Artg Miss Lemper, English, Miss Scott, Geography and Elementary Science. lVe were glad to welcome back Mr. Snivcly after his service in France. lVc found Miss 'Walken Miss Elliot, Miss Marshall, Miss Slater, Miss Donn, Miss Smith, Miss Tendick, Miss Gifford, Miss Krantz, Miss Aout, hir. Buthod, Mr. King, Mr. Earnest, Mr. Campbell, and Mr. Burg in their old places. Mr. Gaylor and Mr. lllirtz were back, also, filling the executive offices with their usual ability. Several of these teach- ers have been with us throughout the four years of High School and have been faithful to their charge. Through these pages we wish to express our gratitude to the teachers who have so willingly given us their time, and who have shown patience in helping us to reach the goal. VVe feel that, con- sidering the overcrowded conditions which have existed, we have in- deed had a successful year. at-1--E --as TWELVE
