2X C'Hoo The Faculty VERY member of Canton High School should bc thankful for the efhcient faculty under whose leadership we have been during the past year. It has been hard for the faculty to do their work on account of the exceedingly crowded conditions in the building. In several cases two teachers have had one room in which to work. It happened, therefore, that when a teacher had a period, in which she might have given individual help, it was necessary for her to vacate in order to make room for some other class. Not only did this put the teacher at a disadvantage, but the student suffered proportionately. YVhen he needed help, in his work he went to the teacher,s room only to find another class in possession. These are some of the conditions under which the student and teachers have had to work for the greater part of the year. Now, however, these didiculties have happily been done away by the opening of the new grammar school. The High School has been re-arranged so that each teacher has a room to himself. Under the new conditions we are doing better work and enj oying' it more. VVe can better appreciate the interest and sympathy wl1icl1 the teachers have shown us, in spite of the difficulties under which they worked. VVe count several new teachers in our High School faculty this year. Mr. Stephens, in the Latin department, has charge of the de- bating work, and Mr. Burg has charge of the Physical Training work. , X Xiil fy K M14 f VL2gm..,,.:W -V , Eighteen
