The governing body consists of three interested and qualified members from each class. It acts as a link between the student body and the faculty, as well as a service organization for the school. The Student Council has organized the annual Magazine Drive, and divided the proceeds among all school clubs, and classes. A scholarship awarded yearly to a deserving member of the Senior class has been set up by the Student Council. A biennial Career Day which enables students to find out the various aspects of the careers in which they are interested is organized and directed by the Student Coun- cil. Students were elected on the basis of Scholarship, Leadership, Character and Service, with in- ductions of seniors in the fall and juniors in the spring. In the fall of 1954 a college fair was presented by the society, for all membersof the jun- ior and senior classes. The monthly calander of events for the school year was put out by members of the society. The present officers are: Janet Read, Presidentg Philippa Hudon, Vice-President, and Joan Hatting, Secretary. The underclass- men, Billy Boucher, Ken Spivey and Jimmy Gavalis, with last year's exceptional play and promise, will be a great factor in this year's suc- cess.
