 ACTIVITIES FHA sponsors children's corvivol zoo field trip The Future Homemokers of Americo sponsored mony octiviries in- cluding o kid's cornivol in the armory. Children participated in gomes and enjoyed foce-poinring booths and skits. The FHA chapter also rook residents of rhe Crippled Children s Hospital to the Sioux Foils Zoo for o field trip. Along with selling carnations on Valentine's Day ond mums or homecoming, they also provided sock lunches for the volleyball ream on away gomes. ACTIViTIES The Future Formers of America chapter sent Mike Fossum, Heather Loken, Kent Mulder, and Russ Swon- son to Pierre for contests. Fossum ond Loken placed in extemporaneous speaking with 5th ond 3rd place finishes, respectively. Notional FFA Week was February 15-21. On Tues- day, members drove tractors ond wore work clothes to school. Wednesday wos official dress doy. On that doy, students were also en- couraged to guess how many pens ond pencils were left to be sold after 94 gross were ordered instead of 94 dozen. Another contest wos guessing how many bushels of groin would fit in the high school ond junior high. On Thursday, members wore emblems ond could nor speok to the opposite sex or give up on emblem.
