Homecoming Is “The Main Event” 16 Homecoming '83 started on Mon- day, September 19. The MC’s at coro- nation were Diana Hoffman and Mike Rebischke. Each day of the week was reserved for a different theme. Monday was hat day ; Tuesday was role- reversal day ; Wednesday was “punk day ; Thursday was 50’s day”; and, Friday was “blue and gold day . Curt Hohman received the award for “role- reversal day ; Deb Abbas was the best “punker ; and, Gene Dixon really knew how to slick down . Bill Sauers received Best Overall for his participa- tion each day. A pep assembly was held in the auditorium Friday morning. The annual Homecoming parade was on Friday afternoon. The floats receiv- ing special awards were seniors — Most Beautiful, juniors — Most Origi- nal and Best Overall, and eighth grade — Most Humorous. When asked if he had a comment about Homecoming, Master Wiebe replied, “The enthusi- asm this year rivaled the pep of years past. When Queen Kim was asked the same question she said, “It was great so many people took part in ‘hat day', 'punk day', and ‘role-reversal day' (especially the guys!!).
