Jean Roti And John Peterson Reign C ti nr H L tl C tl R b I ti g si c Official Homecoming festivities began with Coro- nation on the evening of September twenty- fourth. Seniors Jean Roti and John Peterson were crowned queen and master. Preparation for Homecoming began weeks before Coronation, as students worked to complete floats, memorize music, polish marching techniques, decorate for the dance, perfect a tackle or pass, and master a skit. Songs was chosen as an appropriate Homecom- ing theme. This was demonstrated in the variety of parade floats; Paradise by the Football Lights , Old McCoplan had a Team , Whip 'Em Good , Flirtin' with Disaster , and more.. LEFT MIDDLE. MC's Pally Coplan, Todd Messerli, and Glennis Siverson kepi the festivities running smoothly. RIGHT MIDDLE: Voted by students in grades nine through twelve as queen and master were lean Roti and )ohn Peterson. LOWER MIDDLE: Royalty members Kim Lems and Todd Johnson. LOWER RIGHT: Royalty members Jeff Roetzel and )ulie Dieterich.

Year Blasts-Off With Homecoming UPPER LEFT: Sonja Frislie plays a happy tune during an early morning march. Band members practiced many hours for the Homecoming half-time show. UPPER RIGHT: Receiving the award for the most original float were the seniors. CENTER RIGHT: The parade marshal for the Homecoming parade was Harry Rathje. He and his wife were chauferred by Todd Ramse and Al Bubba Hilt. LOWER RIGHT: Swing choir created a fes- tive atmosphere at Coronation. They boo- gied to an arrangement of I Got the Mu- sic in Me . Also performing were the per- cussion ensemble and wind ensemble.
