IM MEMORY A faculty member for twenty-five years, Aries VanHunnik will always be remembered as a kind, giving man, who dedicated his life for the students of CHS. Mr. VanHunnik will long be known for the stories of his adventures in the Black Hills. To avoid any difficult work in his social studies classes, all we had to do was to get him started talking about his summers. Soon the period was over and our work was left undone. Despite these diversions, we learned to respect ourselves and our country. It's for these reasons and countless others that we, the staff of Backtrackin' 80, dedicate this annual in loving memory of Mr. Aries VanHunnik. He was a man set alone. His will like that of a mountain, His pride the colour of flags. And his life—a journey Along roads taken by few. And his death-a journey To places divine. —Jona VanHunnik
