At the winter con- cert in February, "The Three Bears," with Shirley Habeger as narrator, was the high- light. A third concert was given late in March. The year's main event for the band was the contest held in Yankton in April. Various soloists and ensembles were en- tered there with the band. M. practices since the be- ginning at the school year. This enabled them to do a good job at the many concerts and programs in which they have appeared. The sextette and soloists also repre- sented Canton at this musical event. Other appearances of the group were at the spring concert given by the vocal music department.
