slach February una Garcia stuaenta all over the state compete in a math contest composed of forty challenging questions to te completed in thirty minutes. Canterbury School is proud of the record it has compiled in these state math contests. Perhaps we are most proud of the enthusiasm, achievement, and progress all of our students demonstrate on this day. The results from 1984 continue to parallel the previous years, our eighth graae team, competing with 2 16 schools, won second place in the state and first in the district. Three of our students placed in the top four in the state. In the seventh grade test, with 215 schools competing, Canterbury was first, with one student placing tnird in the state, rfith 322 schools competing, Canterbury also received the first place award In the elementary contest. One student placed fourth and seven students were listed in the top twenty In the state. rfe look forward to learning the 1965 results. Canterbury entered a team In the MATHCOUNTS contest. The timed teste were both individual and team efforts. These students represented the school well, totaling up impressive scores, winning the regional contest, qualifying for the state competition. 13
