On November 4 we held our candle-light commitment service and on November ll the meeting was an Armistice program at which the speaker was Father Savoy. Other guest speakers during the year were Dr. John G. Benson from the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis Father Wolcott and Dr. Haramy pastor of the Danville Friends Church. According to a custom set last vear we honored those who had birthdays each month with a supper. Other activities were round-table discussions hymn sings and the main event of the year the annual Pie Supper. The 'obiect behind this supper was to obtain money whereby the S. C. A could give a Christmas party for the under- privileged children from the Danville Grade School. The sum of S25.7l was made toward that goal and the beaming faces at the party were ample reward for our efforts. We are hoping that this tradition will always be kept by future Student Christian Association groups. THE CANTERBURY BLUE The purpose of the Canterbury Club is to foster on campus a better understanding of the Episcopal Church and to form the nucleus of the chapel parish. Membership in the Club is open to all students interested in furthering the interests of the Episcopal Church and Canterbury College. 'On November l4, the Club held its first annual event-the Sadie Hawkins dance-complete, with gals openly choosing the men and a still'f for Kickapoo .loy Jucie. The Club sponsored four grave-diggers and a casket for Manchester in the Homecoming parade. Our donation to the Presiding Bishop's fund was raised by means of the annual Pancake Supper held on Shrove Tuesday. The week-end of March 19-2l we sponsored an inter-college retreat conducted by Brother Anthony O.'S. F. This year the Club also took over the responsibility of providing servers, Sunday School teachers and an Altar Guild for the Chapel services. By means of these activities the Club hopes to serve better the Episcopal Church and further fellowship among The student body. - Page 26 S F l . l l 'El . Q ' E. - fi . -E , S i l I i - C l i
