School administrators plan and organize the pro- gram of school work. Such a task is not an easy one. School heads must understand the nature of the work to he done and the specialization needed. They use resources at hand and put into use well-organized plans, new methods, and modern tools and devices. Trained teachers direct and oversee the actual work that is done. ll. C. A. Their various duties require streamlined minds adapted to any work problem of modern school life. Superintendent hlathewson puts school policies into action to establish a modern and smoothly-working educational system. Under his guidance the school continues to advance its work program. Principal O'Connell carries Ollt the school policy in the high school. He has gen- eral administration and supervision in matters relating to the program of work, the methods used, and the conduct of student workers. He promotes and maintains agree- ahle conditions among teachers and pupils and coordinates co-curricular activities. Co-curricular activities provide a different type of work experience, but each activity has its educa- tional value. Members of clubs, organizations, and publication staffs plan programs that offer work opportunities for service to self, school, and commu- nity. Gunners develop team timing. Students who take part in competitive athletics work with definite goals in mind. They willingly go through calisthenics, cheerfully care for equipment, and put in long hours of grueling practice. They expect this training to coordinate muscles, develop strong bodies, and teach them the self-discipline, courage, cool thinking, and resourcefulness needed to win games, contests, and tournaments. 2' Gr' ir-sv Q., sqm - f U ' 11, 1 S . -, I I ,1 In 22.31-1131,-is'Z-ELEM A H Q- .1 ,Z zl, If ZAA A ..k,,.. .. .. vvvv 1 .5-VE: - 1 ' , L-ff . ui: 312' IQPN Q,.,a we-1 9' GARDIKSBUNU is liushko llel 1-lice ID1-ll11rs11 Ii11upi11ris S11pi11k Pi sein C 161111135 Down Their flpponenta 1111111's 111 1'1111s1111-1111's, 01111111 111111 St'5N1lll1s, 111111'- 111'1- 111 111111111111 1111111111111-111111s, 111111 l1lllI1IllX 111111 1111- s1'1111111111111- 1111111g1111 11-s1111s.
