Since this has been our objective, we have selected for our animal theme, The Relationship of the School to the Community. Through the use gf photographs and brief editorials, we have attempted to illustrate the effect that our Classes, teachers, activities, and athletics have upon the student, life in our coniniunity. - In this volume we have also bound to- gether the fragments of our hopes, am- bitions, and achievements for the past year. Our fondest desire is that in after years when you turn the pages of this book, it will awaken memories of your days in high school. Many of our teachers are revered and rec- ognized as the influences responsible for happiness and Well-being in our community. The courses of study offered in the various high school curricula tend to prepare the youth to take his place in the affairs of the community by giving him an insight into the privileges offered by his community. A thorough knowledge of the various branches of the government of his community, in its relationship to the Feder- al and State government, is essential to our American youth. Too few have only a vague idea of our great American Consti- tution, the history of its conception, and its important function of preserving our coun- try for us. Extensive study of this particular subject cannot be too highly recommended, Ida Zeman v 1 v.
