Q ,M f- :ld The National Honor Society is an organization filled with many diverse and multifa- ceted students. To be inducted into this organization the student must of attained a grade average of 3.7, possess outstanding leadership qualities and be noted for their services contributed to the school and community. Our members this year were able to go on a trip to New York for the purpose of educational development and expansion. Their four day trip included visiting such sites as: Greenwich Village, Statue of Liberty, China Town, Empire State Building. Radio City Music Hall and the hit Broadway show, Chorus Line . To help pay for the costs of the New York trip the members held bake sales and sold Sarris candy bars. lnducted into this year's Canon McMillan Chapter of the National Honor Society were 40 juniors and 7 seniors with 20 returning senior members taking part in the ceremonies. This year's officers were: President-Marcia Minor Vice President-Karen Lynch Secretary-Tricia Derrico Treasurer-Melody Garber

Through their hard work and dedication a yearly play may be produced. This year's production was, Cinder- ella . The lead players included: Tawnia Ander- son-Cinderella, Kurtis Andree-Prince, Judy Schmoutz-Evil Stepsister. Tracy Jeffries-Evil Step- sister, Sherri Weiser-Evil Stepmother, David Nix- on-King, Camille Anderson-Queen. The play was considered a hit by the area elementary school students. After the show Cinderella and various other characters went into the audience to sign autographs and shake hands with their fans. The play was directed by Mrs. Cuneo, assisted by Mrs. Andronas. choregrapher, Mr. Heaton, choral di- rector, Mr. Klink and Band director, Mr. Falvo. To become a member of this society the drama student must have been in two productions and have an accumulations of thirteen points. These points are gained through playing roles. dancing. playing music in the pit band, ushering, or by building and painting props. This year's officers were: President-Tracy Jeffries Vice President-Mark Bennett Secretary-Kim Carter Treasurer-Judy Schmoutz r-' Cinderella at her best.
