Cheerleaders arouse enthusiasm as opponent is burned in effigy. September brought a new school, new teams, and a new spirit. The Cadets became Big Macs and cheer- leaders created original cheers. Excitement prevailed at all pep meetings. Skits-The Birth of the New Spirit, The Arthur McMillan Dancing Party, The Lady Football ln- terpretation-showed school spirit in another form at pep rallies. Twelve spirit rousers participated at all sports events. Bonnie Trylko and Sylvia Marosz led the team of Darlene Sharek, Elaine Sivak,TeFfy Kuhn, Effie Kerin, Dottie Sobanslcy, Judy Hufchisonl Janice Loitert, Helen Zullo, Bernie Zaken, and Suzanne Small. Each girl con- tributed her support to the Big Mac teams at every game, match, or meet. Familiar sounds-HERE ON HEAP BIG RESERVATION, THE COACH OF OUR TEAM, LET'S GO BIG MAC, SINK IT, SWlTCH-TURN-PlN- aroused the students to shout proudly, WE'RE FROM CANON AND COULDN'T BE PROUDER.
