The activity calendar of Hi-Y Club in- cluded many functions that accomplished club's main aim of teaching principles of brotherhood for Christian living. Eighty-four boys met on Monday morn- ing with their sponsors, Mr. Bethem and Mr. Smith, to watch movies and discuss various sciviu.: piuiccis unoi auciui eve-nib. Hi-Il' members volunteered to collect money in Canonsburg area for Easter Seal Cam- paign. Initiation and bowling parties pro- vided relaxation for club members. On New Year's Eve, Hi-Y Club, in conjunction with Chartiers YMCA, sponsored the Father Time Frolic. ln February, nine members attended a basketball tournament in Wil- 55' merding, Pennsylvania. Ready, aim, firel Watch your mark and not the camera! Anything you can do lcan do better became the cry ot several girls in Rifle Club as girls tried to outshoot boys on firing range. Rifle Club consisted of twenty girls and thirty boys. Enthusiastic members met on Wednesday night at First Ward School to develop proficiency in handling a .22 caliber rifle. Riflemen learned safety with respect to shooting firearms, practiced correct methods of cleaning rifles, and participated in competitive matches between girls and boys of club. Outstanding marksmen received awards for excellent per- formance on firina range. Able officers who guided club activities included: President, Bob Pruce, Vice-President, Eugene Puchi, Secretary, Joyce Semian, Treasurer, Helen Kesnowski. Rifle Club tried to widen its range of activities by ar- ranging shooting matches with other schools. RIFLE CLUB PRACTICED USE OF FIREARMS.
