Wrestlers Accomplished A Successful Season Olenn pins heavy weight opponent. Initiative, ability, and experience enabled Canon- McMillan wrestlers to complete successfully the 1960 wrestling season with eleven wins and two losses. At the opening of the season, Big Mac grapplers ended the 40-straight wins of Waynesburg by defeating the squad 28 to 19. Big Mac grapplers distinguished themselves by defeating Chartiers 45 to 5, Trinity 33 to 18, Germantown 35 to 15, Washington 38 to 19, Clays- ville 52 to 3, and Burgettstown 49 to 8. The bottom fell out when the Big Mac team lost to Trinity with a 12 to 34 margin. The grapplers staged a comeback to trample Chartiers 52 to 6, Burgettstown 45 to 6, Avella 51 to 5, Claysville 51 to 3. The Big Macs lost to Waynes- burg with a 17 to 30 score. Canon-McMillan had many outstanding wrestlers this year who won individual fame- The team of Pritts C9, 3 and 11, Hanna K6 and 61, Maughn 19 and 41, Wilson C4 and 51, Sacco C1 and 31, Bish C11 and 21built up early points for the Big Macs in many matches. Haney com- piled a 12 and 1 record, Piccioni C10 and 31, O'Korn 17, 3 and 11, Ross K1 and 11, Rossero C10, 1 and 21, Chambers C1 and 11, Arrigoni 15, 5 and 31, Macik UO, 1 and 11, Dano U3 and 01, and Olenn C12 and 11. Big Mac wrestlers were honored to have Robert Haney represent Canon-McMillan at state tournament at Penn State where Haney was runner-up for the second con- secutive year.
