'hd VARSITY TEAM CROSS COUNTRY TEAM ENCOUNTERED Zz 5' Robert Haney Ronald Bish The 1959 cross country team completed their up hill and down dale season with six wins and two losses. At Uniontown Invitational Meet, Canon-McMillan harriers placed third with individual trophies presented to Robert Haney and Ronald Bish. WPIAL Championship Meet saw Robert Haney and Ronald Bish place sixth and twelfth respectively, qual- ifying them to run in the state championship meet. Ro- bert Haney placed sixteenth at state representing Canon- McMillan as the sixteenth best runner in Pennsylvania. Junior WPIAL Meet saw Ray Domi take first place to become individual champion. The low scoring harriers can attribute their success- ful season in distance running to the training program of coach, James Banner. At the sound of the gun-they're off!
