Bobbie Ritchie is stage manager for MGM's motion pictures studio. The Ford Companies in the South are operated by David Yoos. Evelyn Shuping and Betty Ewing are his private secretaries. The largest chain of theatres ever established, The Swaneesf' is owned by Billy and Alvin Weddington with Henry Sasser as the main proiectionist, lane Quinn as head cashier, and A. L. Edward Hall and Lee Roy Hall are teaching Diversified Occupations at State College in North Carolina. Managing Belk's Department Store in Kannapolis is I. D. Sloop with Richard Bryant as his assistant. Master Sergeant Excell Grass has been in the Marine Corps for five years and has re-enlisted for the next twenty years. Nurses at Johns Hopkins are Billie Morris, Olene Moose, Betty McCombs, Alene Reynolds and Bonnie Robinette. Helen Miller is a nurse on the mission field and is connected with the Stout Memorial Baptist Hospital in Wuchowl, China. Mary Evelyn Smith is Superintendent of the Mercy Hospital in Charlotte. Doctors from the Class of '48 who are practicing in Kannapolis are L. I. Bumgarner, Edgar Fulcher, Parks Goodnight, Everette Griffin, Bobby Howard, Clement Smith, and Charles Holshouser. . Betty Sue Pethel is chief of staff at the N. C. State Hospital. It was getting late, so I decided to go to the museum to see masterpieces of Betty Goodman, Doris Iackson, Betty Chloe McCombs, and Nancy McWhorter on exhibit. The critics say that they are the best since the Renaissance Period. Their paintings have revolutionized art. On the way to the airport, I saw I. B. Teal, Paul Tuck, and David Sechler busy at work washing the street. I stopped to chat a while. We talked about all our good old school days. They said that Nancy Reece, Inez Watts, Audrey Trull, and Betty Spry are secretaries for Congressmen.
