PROPHECY June l, 1961 Betty Marilyn Benton T Head of Costume Designing Paramount Studios Hollywood, California Dear Betty, I was so glad to receive your letter. As you were saying, fifteen years certainly has been a long time. I was just thinking the other day how much l would like to see all our old classmates and talk with them. Well, since you'd like to know all about what our class of '46 is doing, l'll try to tell you. Thelma Barnhardt, Loma Cook, Clara Armstrong, and Maxine Lambert are ideal housewives. Betty Etta Shinn, Doris McConnell, and Betty Lou Belcher are private secretaries. In the field of medicine are Bryan Lowery. Bobby Teague, and Gene Phillips. Among our missionaries in Japan is Juanita Daniels, and Sarah Ridenhour is a Bible teacher at Wake Forest College. Rushie Marlin, Betty Zane Parker, and Betty Payne. some of our class beauties, are now John Powers models. Audrey Honeycutt and Jerlean Lear are operating beauty shops of their own. Ray Krimminger and Felton Mattox are lawyers in Washington. i Charles Hileman is running a night club in New York, while Jo Ann Benson is a soloist for Charles Winecoff's famous dance band. Catherine Bost is a dramatics teacher, and Valda Stirewalt is teaching book- keeping at the University of North Carolina. The new manager of the Belk's shoe department is Winfred Whitten, and manager of the new and modern A 25 P store is Doyle MCDUfflG. Juline Lindley and Grace Sides are co-owners of the Glamour Dress Shop in Kannapolis. Playing on the all star girls basketball team is Merle Dalrymple. Doris Williams, Betty Smith and Dorothy Beaver are telephone operators. John Burris and Bill Carter are traveling salesmen. One of our smart seniors, Peggy Daniels, is a copyreader for the New York Times. Two of our other smart seniors. Peggy Harmon and Hazel Hendren, are among those working on a new method of shorthand. Herman Cline is an electrical engineer in California. Shorty Westmoreland is a second Joan Davis on Ray Voss's radio show.
