an I f e CLASS POEM Now we turn back to the past with a sigh, Recalling the days at Kannapolis High- The pains and the joys felt by Forty-and-One, The things we've said and the things we'Ve done. All blend together with mem'ries of you, Our loyal friends, proved so faithful and true. Our teachers, first, we shall never forget How you've helped when our troubles we've met, As the road, at times. proved so rough and so bare, You were ever so ready to help us just there- With hand so strong and a heart always kind, You've taught us never the troubles to mind, Classmates we, too, shall remember the days Together we've spent-'n from our hearts we do praise Friendship, so strong as to help with the load Sustained as down the long highway we strode. .i And now, do our hearts for the future enthrone Rich memories of all the friends we have known.
