I, Harold Patterson, do hereby will and bequeath my love for Carolina and hatred for Duke to Anna Ruth Scott; may she carry on where I left off. I, Nancy Lee Long, do hereby will and bequeath my red hair to Edna Mae Sims in hopes it will grow more for her than it has in the past for me. I, Mike York, do hereby will and bequeath my job as business manager for the subscription campaign to Reid Lemly in hopes that he can make up the additional seven hundred and fifty dollars necessary to get the com- munication system. I, Clarence Pitts, do hereby will and bequeath my speed in center field and weakness at the bat to Lester Brown; more power to you, Lester. I, Martha Louise Goodnight, do hereby will and bequeath my seat in Miss Gray’s English class to Mildred Taylor, hoping she accomplishes more good than I did and my love for basketball to Janie Goodnight. I, Forrest Thomas Mahaffey, do hereby will and bequeath my seat in typing to Durwood Bost and hope that he will keep it warm as I did. I, Ruby Styles, do hereby will and bequeath my red hair to Frances Barbee. I, Frances Powell, do hereby will and bequeath my love for French to Julia Anne McKnight and hope she will continue to like it as much as I. I, Margaret Hess, do hereby will and bequeath my ability to take my vacation in summer school to Mary Lee Tesh, since she has a perfect record so far, and my love for tall blond boys to “Dot” Benson. I, Dorothea Lee Cloninger, do hereby will and bequeath my love of band music, especially Cannon High Band, to “Dot” Benson hoping that she continues to like it as much as I have. I, Robert Poston, do hereby will and bequeath all of the “blessing outs” that I received while on the clean- up committee, to the very able chairman of the before mentioned committee, Wylie Yarborough. I, W. A. Ritchie, Jr., do hereby will and bequeath my acting ability to Harvey Turner, Jr.; my ability to know all the good-looking girls, but to have one favorite, to Bud Brown. I, Hoyle Efird, do hereby will and bequeath my ability to annoy girls to John MacDonald and may he make a better job of it than I have. I, Eunice Lovette, do hereby will and bequeath without reluctance to Christine Troutman, two pounds of my excess weight that I have tried so hard to lose climbing the steps to Miss Gray’s English class, and my love for music to “Lib” Goodnight, hoping she will be in the Girl’s Glee Club in the near future. I, Bernice Winecoff, do hereby will and bequeath my V-8 Ford to Clinton Parker, hoping he will have better luck with it than I did. I, Thelma Furr, do hereby will and bequeath my K. H. S. songbird voice to Rosemary Godrey, hoping she will get as many praises as I did.
