FIRST ROW: Norman Nugent, Mary Nell Minto, Ann Forsaith, Mary Irvin, Carol Huber, Jimmy Paulin. SECOND ROW: Joe Hicks, George Powers, Emory Yaggi, John Ham, Tommy Reynolds. THIRD ROW: Vencil Varble, Mr. Charles Swain-sponsor. This club is composed of students elected by class vote from each class. The council is composed of 3 seniors, 3 juniors, 2 sophomores, 2 freshmen, 1 eighth grader, and 1 seventh grader. Mr. Charles Swain is sponsor. The purpose of the student council is to improve relationships between the students and the faculty. The student council holds regular meetings every first and third Tuesdays of the month. Through these meetings student-teacher relationships and co-operation with the school are improved. The Hi-Y club is under the direction of Mr. Roy Enlow. It does much to raise the moral standards of the boys of C.H.S. This is a Christian organization which meets every Monday. Powers, Tommy Reynolds, Sammy Baker and Billy Northernor. The National Thespians was organized in 1940, To become a member one must be from the seventh to senior class member. One must have one major or two minor roles in a play or have participated effectively in stage work, Mrs. Mildred Vaughn is sponsor and the club produces and participates in the all-school play and helps with the senior play. The majorettes, directed by Mr. William Scott,. lead the band at the football games and give exhibitions of baton twirling. The purpose of the club is to teach boys and girls to twirl and teach them the value of co-operation. Any person may join that is still in school. FIRST ROW: Norma Williams, Wanda McFarling, Mary N.
