Cj jmnasium and Tftusic Hail Cannelton’s high school classes are held in three buildings. The top one is the Community Building, in which all physical education classes are taught. School plays, indoor games and tourneys are also held here. I he lower building, the old K. of C. Hall, houses the music department, art rooms, publication offices for Hi-Life and Notlennac and recreation rooms. Dedication THOMAS J. TRUEMPY Born in Enneda Canton Glarus, Switzerland. Thomas J. Truempy, beloved elderly citizen of Cannelton. came to this country at the age of fifteen years. The democratic ideals which were his heritage have guided him in many years of unselfish service to his community. His public life includes a county office, two terms as Mayor of our city, and many years as a member of the school board. Those close to him now. know his happiest moments are spent reflecting over the years he served the schools, especially as President of the board when the high school building was erected. After his active years as a board member were over, as a private citizen, he aided in the purchase of the K. of C. building for school use May our community always have men of his understanding and love for youth.
