Don Marketto Director MUSIC DEPARTMENT I he music department of our school, consisting of band, orchestra, instrumental classes and vocal classes, is our most publicized department. The reason for this being that the band comes into more intimate contact with the citizens by playing for all sorts of public gatherings. It has also been chosen district champion class C band for four consecutive years and ha': always won honors in some departments in the state contests. The popularity of this department has resulted in over half the entire student body participating in some phase of the musical work and necessitated the purchasing of an adjoining building to care for their needs. Much of the popular.ty of this department is due to its jovial director, Don Marketto, who devotes all his school and spare time for its improvement. 130]
