Harry Davidson Our Superintendent SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE When Michael Casper wrote an essay “Resolve Is What Makes Man Manliest” as his contribution to the graduation exercises for the first class of our commissioned high school in 1897, the year 1937 seemed very far in the future. Another forty years hence in the year 1977, the major portion of the lives of these students whose pictures you enjoy seeing, will be history rather than prophecy. It is the earnest desire of the administrative officials and the faculty that our conception of a secondary education program comprising four years of their high school life, will have such an influence in guiding them along the proper course that as they look back and appreciate these pictures, the intervening years will be made up of happy days, kind thoughts and good deeds.
