We would also like to express our gratitude to Paul Thurkins. Mr. Thurkins graduated from Derry Township High School, and St. Vincent's College in Latrobe. Pennsylvania. He did graduate work at Eastman School of Music. Ithaca College, and Elmira College. Mr. Thurkins taught at Lyons Central School before coming to Canisteo. He is also the father of three boys and a girl. Our school is not only losing an excellent music instructor and orchestra conductor, but a kind and caring friend. vV 5

We have begun to realize that trials and triumphs are all part of the climb up the ladder of success. We've learned that everyone has to work willingly to attain their goal. These have been trying times, times of fun and times of hard work. All of the experiences we have had, and the ones yet to come, will contribute to the success in our roles as mature, responsible men and women - the hope of tomorrow.
