principals The problems of this decade are staggering, but our resources are many, and the most vital resource we have is our youth. Graduating from our school this year is a class of unusual aca- demic excellence. You will face numerous challenges, and you will also have opportunities to serve, and we hope improve our society. Those of us who stay behind at Canisteo Central School will always be interested in your achievements. We wish you the best. James E. Roach District Principal The class of ’71 and 1 have a common bond, we both arrived at Canisteo Central thirteen years ago. It has been a privilege and an honor to have worked with you and for you all these years. Now you are ready to make your mark in the world beyond high school. Many of you will be preparing for your life’s work by further schooling. Many others will be directly entering the world of work and service. Each of you has a mark to attain and the ability to attain it. You are one of our most talented classes and, as stated in the Bible in the par- able of the talents, much is to be expected of you. In a world that really needs a worthy use of talents, you will be a welcome addition. The final judgment of your attaining your potential will be based on your influence on our world. If it is better than you found it because you served in it, no one can expect more. God bless you all and come back often to visit your old school. Richard J. Alderman High School Principal Congratulations to the class of 1971. While passing through the formative years of your education, you have displayed unusual talents in many fields. I greatly enjoyed working with you in my science clas- ses while in a teaching capacity, and regret that my new duties have prevented a close contact during your senior year. Best wishes to each of you as you pass from C.C.S. to new areas of endeavor. Nelson Mullen Elementary Supervisor 7
