In the past we.have worked with you and your parents to prepare you for your part in our democratic society. It is our hope that we have helped give you the tools with w hich you can develop your talent to the point, that in the future you can he a credit to yourselves, your families and your country. We have seen you move from a timid, unsure group of seventh graders to mature young people ready to enter the adult world as worthy citizens. The staff and I have been proud of your accomplishments in the school and in your other endeavors. Our Dedication . . . This year the Ranislean staff of 1967, proudly dedicates its yearbook to a person who is consistently understanding and has an ever present smile. Her vibrant personality is a stimulant to her students which makes her classes interest- ing and meaningful. Through her field, litis individual constantly strives to help the students become aware of the languages and traditions of other peoples. In response to these qualities, we the yearbook staff, dedicate the 1967 KANISTEAN to Mrs. Thelma Rear. Mrs. Rear, originally from Pennsylvania, has been teaching in Canisteo for five years, and has served the students of this school in many w ays. She has been junior class advisor, which entails such tasks as decorations and arrangements for the Junior Prom and the Junior-Senior Banquet. We believe this dedication to be the best way of ex- pressing our appreciation to her.
