CLASS POEM We've come a long way From primary daysg Fights and feuds And baby ways. First grade changed us To BIG girls and boys As partial adults We dispensed with toys. Pencils and pens With ink now less Were items on which Lay particular stress. Reading and spelling, We learned to think, While scribbles and scratches Portrayed use of ink Ruffle s and ribbons , Pigtails and curls, Such things were typical Of all of us girls The boys were cute, Conceited and mean, Seen teasing or laughing But always seen! Parties, picnics, hikes and clubs Night life here and there Laughing, crying, work and play Made growing up seem pretty fair Junior High was just a taste Of great days yet to come, High School not too far off seemed Eternity to some Steadilj we progressed each da Preparing for high school years, Developing confidence, skill and thought, Conquering all our petty fears fQg7a f fa f p , ff 5 C gfQQgcX31?Q5Q : When finally 'MB commenced, We found ourselves not less Than members of the Senior High Of good old CCS. Our first year proved a vital one, For we were on our own, From now on things were in our hands By this time we were grown! Making money, earning grades, Sports and homework too, Kept us always on the go, With just too much to do. The big high-light of 'SO came, The yearly Sophomore Hop, Streamers, music, lots to eat Keeps this date upon the top Our Junior year we went to work And sold the things we could To boost our Treasury so it looked A bit more like it should A play that year, a dance as well, From such work never parted, 'Til days flew bv so fast it seemed School stopped before it started And now as Seniors at last we've learned How little we really know Of all that goes on in the world And all that's yet to go But thanks to friendly patient teachers Ne're truly well prepsred, To prove that we can really vork, To show them we have cared For all their pains and guidance too From now on we will try To make our Alma Mater proud With this, dear school, goodhy Q W M4117 Q WWW X fh K l ' 7 , 'Dances 'Pla.j5 4 7 hkqtonYk-Y. 20 y 4 l ..
