QMMM, f sijfegu J QTWACTI en., The first bi ro'ect the Junior Class undertook this year was a campalgn to ery. The campaign lasted from the middle of October until December 15 and put thee in our treasury. High salesmen in the campaign were Kristin Whitinv fSl27l,Beverly Norton CQIOYD and Bob Burdick. The two homerooms had a contest to see which one would bring in the most money. Mr. Longley's homeroom won so Mrs. LaValle's class put on a party for us to celebrate the close of our campaign. Basketball and ping pong were played in the gym and delicious refreshments served to us in the Home Econ- omics room. The annual dance was different from the customary Junior class dance in that ours was not formal. We enjoyed a harvest dance and had the gym decorated with pumpkins, corn shocks, and orange crepe paper. Refreshments were served and besides round and square dancing in the gym, ping-pong and other names were in progress in the cafeteria. Our dance happened to be on one of the nights during the All--State Festival and many of the students in Canisteo for the musical activities attended admission free. Everyone seemed to enjoy himself and we liked the Harvest Dance idea too. The next big undertaking for us will be our play to be held on March 9. We have decided on nhhat a Lifen, one of the Henry Aldrich series, but the cast hasn't been selected yet. We really think the play is tops and have high hopes for its present- ation. The last activity of the year will be the Junlor-Senior Danquet at which the Juniors are hosts to the Senior Class. 22 B P J aise money by selling Christmas cards, every day cards, wrapping paper, and station- V
