CMQSS WBQEQHECY For several years it has been the custom for a few members of each Senior class to devise a prophecy for each of their classmates, foretelling, as closely as possible, in what position each will be found ten years from the year of graduation. In 1950 we see the class of 1940: Eleanor Acker-a prosperous Hartsville farmer's wife. Harlo Atherton, jr.-Leader of Abe's Swingstersf' which received a contract as the hottest band in COWII. Robert Brown-Member of the Canisteo River Coast Guard. Thomas Caple-Still the Little man who wasn't there. Dee Clark-Turning pages for his idol, Rubinoff. Fern Davis--After having traveled from one high school to another finds herself a traveling beautician. Maxine Denhoff-Interior decorator for the Scranton-Keeler Furniture Co. Agnes Drake-Co-proprietor of the Little Shop Around the Corner. Jane Flansburg-Now making good use of her chorus work by singing in Kay Kyser's College. Norma Freeland-To replace Judy Canova in a new musical comedy. Elizabeth Galutia-Still being squired by the Lieutenant of the Hornell Corps of the Salvation Army. Richton Gardiner-Finally accepted the motto Honesty is the best policy.', Bernadine Hall-Sponsoring a matrimonial bureau for the youth of the generation. James Higgins-Appears in his new feature production, Andy Hardy Takes Betty to the Altar. Elsie Hunt-Has found her high school homemaking courses very useful in keeping house for Carl. Lyle Jamison-Settled on a New England chicken farm to see if the chickens appreciate his humor. Lewis Keyes-Has just received a patent on an alarm clock-kicking attachment for getting him out of bed in the morning. Margaret Knight-Leading lady in one of Maxwell Anderson's plays. Charles Meng-A designer of airplanes for the U. S. Air Corps. Paul McCool-Night watchman on the Cornell University Campus. Glee McMindes-Author of a Pulitzer Prize novel. Robert Ordway--Headlines, Maestro Hugo's Protege Takes Over the Band. William Perham-Future Mr. Malaprop continues his one man filibuster. Ardath Phillipson-Missionary to Africa. Jean Plaisted--World's champion in the talking marathon. Belden Pratt-Author of The Manly Art of Courtly Salutation. fCourt jester to you.J Janet Pratt-Telephone operator for the Purdy Creek Branch, and gossip columnist for the Cunisleo Times. Richard Prouty-Singing dishwasher at the Texas Grill. Burr Ripley--just hung his sign, Open for Business, Ripley Woodworking Plant. Eleanor Roe-Stockholder in gas Wells of Steuben County. Francis Scranton-Leisure time adviser to a Sophomore Class. Irving Stephens-Cross-country runner, in order to get to Cameron more quickly. Norma Stewart-District superintendent of the Wesleyan Methodist Churches. Bette Stocum-Director of the newly established Canisteo Children's Home. Mary Stocum-Conducting box socials for the Home Ec. Club. Robert Storm--Class adviser for F. F. A. Anne Tychi-Completed a volume on Origin of the Law of Averages. Christine Vanderhoef--She is South of the Border but not far away QPennsylvaniaJ . Ruth Van Wie-Still waiting for a certain person named Burr. Raymond Wells-Has graduated from college where he majored in Crew. Could it be that he likes to Roe. time Charles Wilder--Between his trumpet, his deer hunting, and his camera, Chuck has still found no for a steady girl. To Nelson Ripley, part of his brother's good looks that mows 'em down. To Emily Roe, Glee McMindes' sleepy, quiet temperament to tame her. To Jack Rose, Tommy Caple's farm. - To Carmelita Rowley, Norma Freeland's square dancing ability. To Esther Scott, the artistic abilities of Ann Tychi. To james Sheehan, Bill Perham's ability to express himself. Perhaps Lorene may benefit by it. To Muriel Shinebarger, one of Charles Meng's model airplanes to be used in peddling her brother's papers. To Josephine Stephens, Belden Pratt's skill in tumbling. To Kenneth Stephens, a berth on the All-American football team. To Frances Stocum, a wardrobe of her own, so that she won't have to always borrow Betty's clothes. To Dwight Taylor, Lyle Jamison's humor. To Lorene Travis, some of Ruth Van Wie's mathematical ability. To Margaret Turnbull, an escort to accompany her to basketball games. To Betty Van Allen, the popularity she wants in Hornell circles. To Doris Wambold, vim, vigor, and vitality, obtained by eating Kellogg's All-Bran. To Jack Wambold, box of Ralston to aid in wielding his cello bow. To Virginia Wentworth, Ray Well's stamp collection to add to hers. To Beulah White, Francis Scranton's dancing ability. To Betty Wilkins, an ability like Richton's to make up stories. n To Fred Yanni, Ardath Phillipson's fifteen years to replace his age, so he can play basketball for C. C. S. for three more years.
