Three years is not a major segment out of man's three score and ten, but the changes that occur during early adolescence's first three years of high school mark this short span as an important period. The incoming freshman is impressed-and not a little overwhelmed-by 1180 Dela- ware, huge halls, new subjects, serious application and discipline, black-robed figures towering over him become the measure of his growth. As freshman year yields to sophomore year, and sophomore year passes to junior year, the Canisius student does not recognize much of a change in himself. But Canisius has gradually ceased to be the strange and has become the familiar. Growth-mentally and spiritually-has kept pace with added inches and deep- ening voice, the boy is becoming a man.
