i gt it tn, t, V' 1 , eg ' The Little Theatre is probably the most unique organization on the Canisius campus: the thespian group is completely self- sufficient in all phases of its art. The organization maintains its individual theatre, designs its own sets and builds the props. Yet it constantly turns out performances of a professional type. This year, under the moderatorship of Father Harold Pfeiffer, S.J., the Players had their most successful season. Record runs marked both their Fall production of the popular Broadway hit, Stalug 'I7, and the Spring presentation of Patrick Hamilton's Rope. The Theatre's entry in the Jesuit One- Act Play Festival in Syracuse, The Gray Fedora, placed second and wide acclaim was given to President Tim Sheehan for his excellent comic portrayal. The members have put thousands of hours of earnest work into their productions and have been amply rewarded by wide student and public appreciation. But this would not have been possible had not the Little Theatre been so fortunate as to have one of the finest college directors in the nation, Mr. Walter J. Barrett.
