...snag .f1ggp... 1 I I Ideal Man and date arrive at Prom. On January 2lst, amid the candle-lighted tables en- closing the perimeter of the dance floor in the Statler Ballroom, Billy May's orchestra created the May in January mood of this year's Junior Promenade. Following the precedent established last year by the present Seniors of engaging a name band, the Class of '56 brought the nation's second most popular dance band to Canisius. The gala occasion was suc- cessfully arranged by Co-Chairmen Bill Chandler and George Bryant who, aided by their Committee, pre- sented roses and stuffed Griffins to the students' dates. At the hour of midnight Bill Ragan received the College's most honored award, the title of Ideal Man. And in keeping with the Canisius policy of never ignor- ing the fair maidens,,pretty Miss Barbara Rossman was crowned Queen of the Junior Prom. The Queen and the Ideal Man, accompanied by their dates, then led the colorful Grand March through the Ballroom to close the highly successful dance. -P' f If Dancing to the music of Billy May
