An apostolic organization, it has for its end the sanctification of the community, this is accom- plished primarily by the performance of daily duties by its members such asliimeditation and examination of consciences as means of personal sanctification, and secondly by an active apostolate. Through observation of the community it determines the progress being madefl From these observations, iudgments are made asito whether Christ is made to live fully among us. The members dedicate many hours to the needy by helping to provide them with food and clothing. The material needs of the poor is not the Society's only contribution, a re-strengthening of their faith in God and man is often brought about. Membership in the society is limited to members of the So- dality of Our Lady. Their ultimate end is to model themselves after the great apostle of the poor, St. Vincent De Paul.
