Standing: Eugene Serafin, Mary Ann Braun, Co-Editors. The Evening Students' Association was founded in i952 for the purpose of offering a more complete college program for the men and women enrolled in the Evening Division. With this organization the re- ligious, social and leadership activities so commonly associated with the educational process became available. The Association is governed by six officers popu- larly elected by ESA members. The Dean of the Eve- ning Division acts as Moderator and a member ofthe lay faculty is Faculty Adviser. A system of class rep- resentatives brings the Association into each classroom and makes it a more personal grouping. One or two persons from each class thereby help to publicize ESA activities. A great step forward has been taken this year with the publication of a printed newspaper, THE CANESA CRIER, which is devoted exclusively to Evening Divi- sion affairs. Although still a young organization, the ESA ranks high in membership. Because of the opportunity it affords for relaxation among persons pursuing sim- ilar interests, it has a definite place in the life of the evening students.

esa - how it functions uring the past year, the ESA has attempted to notify very member of its organization about its various ctivities. For this purpose, the Class Representatives, ixty in number, have been valuable aids to the offi- ers and the success of our activities attests to this fact. To assist the Representatives, the CANESA CRIER as further developed this year. The artists of our organization, consisting of Made- yn Brennan, Dorothy Crowe, Jack Donahue, Lorraine awlawski, and Theresa Pepe, contributed their tal- nts to present attractive advertising for our several Htairs. Not to be overlooked were the many committee embers who spent many hours to enable all of our embers to fully enjoy each activity. For any Religious ffair, Dick Barton, Dick Bogart, Ray Fahey, Marge cDonald and Maureen Broad were always on hand. he Christmas Party Committee did such an excellent b that they were retained as the Social Committee orthe year. ' To record all these events for future generations, 'teve Mitchell carried his camera with him at all times. Finally, not to be overlooked are the officers' efforts guiding all activities as well as Father Sullivan's and r.
