T'l'?55 'iw -A. ff' J9 ur' Herman Jorgellng is one of nine German boys and glrls who spent the past year liv1n on Kansas farms and attending Kansas hlgh schools Th youths were broufmt to thls country trrougx the Amerlcan Farm Bureau Federation, tne U S Olflce of Milltary Govern ne lt, and me U S Department of State Herman arrived in tee United States July 1, 1951 and will leave for Germany on July 1, 1952 The students and faculty have been dellguted to have Herman w1th us during the past year He has taken an active part in all of our activlties and has made magor contnbutions toward tnelr success The above plcture is part of a twelve foot mural painting which he dad for tne annual school carnival He also palnted a twelve foot mural for me grade school operetta and made stage props for tne Christmas pageant Durlng th1s school year Herman took courses :Ln wood workinv, physics constitution, Ehgllsh, world history, and physlcal education He was an act1ve 'nenber of the Cheery GO Getters h H Club and lettered in basketball Herman has made many fri ends, and ne has become such an actlve part of our school llfe tnat he vnll be greatly missed by everyone
