Candor, New York Many years have passed since our grandfathers attended school. But they and their children have made our present ed- ucational system possible. The grandfather around whom our book is planned could be yours. Imagine him outside of school looking in. Perhaps there is a wistful expression on his face as he suddenly wishes for his youth. What a good time he would have if only he could go back to a school such as ours- modern, glassed-in, with the best of facilities and program! So, the yearbook staff invited him to join them for a school day. He did so whole-heartedly and for some time forgot that he was an old man and the pupils only young squirts. He didn't miss a thing but attended every class, joined every club and even went out for sports. Before his day was finished, he was well acquainted with the entire administration, faculty and student body. Perhaps your own imagination will help you to decide his feelings when the experience was over. We now invite all of you to join us in our school life, just as Grandpa did, through the pages of our 1957-58 yearbook and hope that it will prove ai pleasant experience for you. ws ' ww, ,Q 'K-f fl' W 49 N TABLE OF CONTENTS Introduction ..,..., Dedication ,, Annual Staff .....i Faculty and Staff Administration an Faculty .......,,., . To begin with, we reached a glorious goal-we received our class rings. Our activi- ties included the baseball throw at the Hallowe'en party, a talent show, a dance, several bake sales and a three-act play. YVe sold pies in the cafeteria on Fridays and stationery during the month of January. As is traditional, the Junior Class sponsored the Senior Prom and the Alumni Banquet. VVe also decorated and served as ushers at Baccalaureate and Commencement exercises. Paul . . . K ' , ttt.. , it ms 'U' J 'Es 'ESM .figifiir Dave N t 5 Wi i Judy Sally Alan L - V fs? 4 5 ki- ' ! Among us there are only fourteen mem- bers out of the original forty-three who made up our two Hrs:- grade classes. This year we sold refreshments at the school fair. VVe also sold magazines. We had a record hop, the basketball throw at the Hallowe'en party, and we helped decorate the gym for the Mardi Gras. ln November we had Senior Slop Day and Senior Dress- Up Day. In December we put on the play, 'lReady Blade Family. Throughout our school life we have enjoyed many wonderful times together. This will be one phase in our lives that we shall always remember. But, We have finally reached our goal of gradua- tion and must now proceed to begin a new part of our lives as individuals. Dave C. Sylvia and jean Victor ? , i - 1L,4. . . Q O v l 1 lm.
