IN MEMORIAM We understand death for the frst time when he puts his hand upon one whom we love. de Stael CLARA HOWARD STRONG FOREWORD We have done our yearbook this year from the view- point of a high school senior. It is based on the sudden realization of the fact that this year we are the top, the biggest, the oldest: the Seniors. It doesn't seem possible that we have been in school for twelve years and that very soon we will all be in many different places doing many different things. Graduation has always been iust a word, not some- thing that very soon shall happen to us. It all seems wonderful, yet sad, this realization that one part of our life is ending while another part is iust beginning. For some of us graduation will only be a step toward further education, for others of us it will be the end of our schooling and the beginning of a completely different way of life, for many of us graduation will lead to a break with our homes, families and our friends. We want our 1957 Yearbook to be such that when we look at it in 1977 or 1987, it will bring back nostalgic memories of all the fun, the friends, the really good years at Candor Central that we have been privileged to enioy.
