Juniors present Oriental Gardens The 1973 Prom began with the Junior-Senior Banquet at the ele- mentary cafetorium. The main dish served by the oriental coolies was beef terriaki. The fortune cookies made dessert, a little bit more special. Alan Saltee, Junior Class President, welcomed us and Kay Qualley, Senior Class President, gave the senior re- sponse. Guest speaker for the evening was Dr. Clark Hanson. He brought back memories for everyone, but especially for the senior class. The Madrigals entertained us with Sounds of Silence and their own version of Happiness Is . The personal touch was really unique even though it put a few people on the spot! Right Jeff?? The 1973 Prom Dance began with the Grand March led by Jr. class president, Alan Saltee and his date, Karen Ellison. The gym decorations included a giant red dragon, an oriental pagoda, a golden Budha, and several wall murals depict- ing oriental life. The music was pro- vided by the Talismen. Post Prom ac- tivities included a movie, Buck and the Preacher , bowling, and breakfast at the golf club. When it was all over we were exhausted but a little sad that it had gone so fast. Sue Livingston and Bonnie Madsen were two of the coolies . BELOW: On through the tunnel, Lori!
