The cast of the Junior Class play includes: STANDING, Barb Melzer - Student Director; Rick Ohlsen - Henry Gilcrest; Dick Thomas - Dr. Earnest; Tom Andert - C. E. Grimm; Mary Erp - Aunt Ethel; Mr. Ostroot - Director. SEATED, Mary Thorson - Clarissa; Karen Beyer - Gladys; Peggy Lundquist - Jill; Paul Fairchild - Sleepy; Mark Henningsgaard - Mr. Bumpus; Debbie Nordseth - Aunt Stella; Dwight Lokken - Ernie Sapper; Mary Severson - Margie; Sharon Hayek - Ernestine; Marsha Jahn - Pumpkin. Deadly Earnest I'm with you, Henry! The plot of this three-act comedy revolved around the hero, Henry Gilcrest. Shortly after the play opened Henry lost his room, his job, his girl, and in desper- ation gave Mr. Bumpus all his money, $17.83, to put him out of his misery. But, to Henry's amazement, he gets back his job, room, his girl, and in hilerious comedy he and Mr. Bumpus settle their differences and the play ends on a happy note. Mrs. Gilcrest, Henry locked himself in his room and is just pacing back and forth, back and forth.

Kitty Winkels and Carol Saltee devoted much time and energy toward the betterment of the annual. The Lancer Staff Preserves The Year Mary Winkels and Barb Melzer, Junior Editors, became acquainted with the job of editing an annual. At the beginning of the year, Senior High students voted to change to a summer-delivery annual. Thus, this year's Lancer has the spring sports, music contests, Prom, and Graduation included. The Business staff did very well in pro- moting sales. A record number of books, 560, was sold this year. Lynn Devorak was high salesman. Pages of the book were sent to the publisher to meet four deadlines. This demanded con- tinued effort and long hours by the various staffs. We hope you enjoy it. 30
