A Message to Students of C U H S I came to Canby Un1on Hrgh School thrs year wondermg what sort of student body I mrght fmd what the attrtude of the students mrght be toward the Prrncrpal and faculty and what sort of rnterest they would take rn makrng the school a beautrful and desrrable place It took only a few days to drscover that the students of th1s school had developed a set of trad1 tons whlch already had establrshed an envrable repu tat1on throughout the state for sportsmanshrp scholarshrp conduct and care of school property Ttme after t1me durrng the year I have had cause to be proud of berng a part of thrs cooperatrve organrzatton we call our school It 1S no exaggeratron to state that the sp1r1t and achrevement of the students of C U H S places rt among the few best h1gh schools rn the state of Oregon A school may be beauttful on the outs1de and w1n any number of contests and prlzes but rf the students of that school have never learned the essence of true c1t1zensh1p they are to be prtred May Canby Un1on I-I1gh School always l1ve up to 1ts tradrtronsl p A PRINCIPAL The School Board The School Board of Canby Un1on Hrgh School has successfully managed the busmess and ftnancral affarrs of our school for one more year Mrs Knrght Mr Belton Mr Cherrrck Mr Kraxberger Mr Cr1sell and Mr Koehler are the members of the school board Therr many years of experlence and servrce rn the capacrty of school board membershrp has made them very valuable to the school and to the commumty To them goes the credrt for our school grounds burldrngs and equrpment of whrch we are all very proud The students of C U I-I S owe thrs body a special debt of gratttude for allowrng us to use the buses for varrous socral affarrs and the audrtorrum and gym for plays dances and games We hope that they w1ll long be enabled to contrnue therr servrces to our school and to the communrty rn the capacrty of school board members 1 . . . 1 1 . .U . . .
