In the past the Girls' League has always had an extensive social program, and this year has been no exception. A 'liransfer Luncheon for those girls who had come to Canby from other schools was given. A beautiful candle-light vesper service was held at the l,utheran church in Canby. Other social events were the spring dance at which our schools dance orchestra made its debut, and the annual flIother's Day Tea. The Girls' League also cooperated with other organizations to make the carni- val a success. New officers for the coming year were elected in April and installed later. 'liwelve Senior girls and twelve Junior girls have been members of this pep organization for this past year. They attended all the athletic games, either at school or away, as were possible. Through their cheering the girls sought to keep the team's morale up if they were losing or to praise them in their victory. For the second year Canby has won thc football at the Football .lambouree for having the best cheering section. lluch credit should go to these twenty-four girls who did a great deal to organize the pep of the Student Body. Bliss Ciladys Burgess has served as faculty advisor since this club was organized three years ago. and whenever the girls remember their good times as Ginger Girls they will think of Kliss Burgess. who joined in the fun and at the same time gave them such good advice. lla:-It lion: llall, llarins.
