But on the brighter side 223 men were advanced during the cruise, 30 shipped over and 90 were recommended tor special awards and com- mendations. On March 29, 1967, Captain Edwin M. Rosenberg was awarded the Vietnamese Navy Distinguished Service A- ward: Second Class by South Vietnamese Premier Nguyen Cao Ky.
