Garad Williams Principal Students, you must remember that you are our citizens of tomorrow. School is just a short practice in life. You learn to obey rules, work towards goals, and to get along with people younger than, the same age as, and older than you. Your teachers provide experiences and practice in do- ing so. Enjoy your high school years. They are very valu- able and cannot be relived. Seniors, take the lessons learned at Canastota High School and be the best that you can, no matter what you do. Learn from both your mistakes and your successes. Good Luck!! It has been my pleasure to work with the Class of 1987 and watch you mature into young men and women. You can be proud of your accomplishments and of being part of a rich heritage at Canastota Central Schools. Your parents and the staff at CHS have worked diligently to prepare you for the future. I am confident that you will continue to be successful if you do your very best. To the Class of 1987, I wish you the best of everything as you face more challenges. Martignetti Administrative Intern During the next few months, some of you will be enter- ing the world of work while others of you will continue to pursue your education at institutions of higher learning. At times you will be confronted with many challenges and tasks which may seem insurmountable or overwhelming. There will be occasions when you will have to put aside pleasures and good times so that you can apply yourself to a given situation, whether it be study in preparation for an examination or to satisfy a monthly installment obligation. However, you should clearly understand that the price of success in today's society is especially high, and you cannot expect to achieve it without good hard work and sacrifice. Is you pass along the path of life, always remember the keys to success in any life rest with the following: Being victorious over anger, fighting the bitterness of defeat and weaknesses of life, smiling when tears are close, hating hate and loving love.
