if The Freshmen and Sophomore years of the 1955 graduating class were un- eventful compared to the busy Junior and Senior years. Our Freshmen year we elected Rodney Wildermuth president, Ronnie Fridley vice president, Paul Trogus secretary, and Carl Heister treasurer. Not long after our usual initiation into high school, we had a delightful time having a hay ride and wiener roast at Kay Thomas'. It was this year that we chose Gail Murphy and Janet Fridley attendants for Football and Basketball respectively. During our Sophomore year we began to realize the need for money. We decided to sell pennants. This idea brought us little profit but gave us a good experience in learning to work together for one purpose. We elected Carl Heister president, Rodney Wildermuth vice president, Paul Trogus treasurer, and Pat Stotler secretary. This year Madelyn Samples and Lois Magee were our Football and Basket- ball Attendants respectively. At the beginning of the next year we elected our officers. They were Rod- ney Wildermuth president, Jane Zaayer vice president, Lois Magee secretary, and Molly Mason treasurer. We were all very busy making money for the Junior-Senior Banquet to be held in May. One of our first money making projects was selling candy at noon to students for one semester. Other ways was the skating party and selling candy at Christmas time. In the first part of May we held our class play which brought in a lot of money. It was Cheaper By The Dozen which was a big success. Everyone in it and that saw it liked it very much. After all these projects were through we held the big Junior-Senior Banquet at the Fort Hayes Hotel in Columbus. Following the banquet was a dance for those not too full to dance. At 3 o'c1ock there was a breakfast served in the Municipal Building at Lithopolis for those that were still awake. The climax of our Junior year was the serving of the Alumni Banquet where we made quite a bit of money for our Senior trip. Our officers for the Senior year were elected and they were James North president, Madelyn Samples vice president, Lois Magee secretary, and Molly Mason treasurer. The big events of our Senior year were Class Play, The Little Dog Laughed , Steak Supper, selling Christmas Cards and all occasion cards, selling candy and subscription to magazines, collecting salestax stamps, and hay ride and wiener roast at Carl Heister's chaperoned by Mr. and Mrs. McQuillen. To spend all the money we made during our three years we published a year book as you have seen, and to climax it all our Senior Class Trip to Washington, New York, and Niagara Falls. The trip as you have already heard was a big success and everyone enjoyed it tremendously. We hope that all future classes that take this trip will enjoy it as much as we did. This concludes the year book, and with all the work we have put into it we hope that you have enjoyed it. 75
